About the event
What You Should Know Before Starting a Private Practice
Thinking about starting a private practice can feel like standing at the edge of something big. There's excitement about what could be possible, and there's also uncertainty, a dozen unanswered questions, and mixed messages about what actually needs to happen next.
We built this free training to help you slow down and get clear before you make any big decisions. It offers real, practical insight into what starting a practice actually involves, financially, logistically, and emotionally, so you can move forward con confianza instead of guesswork.
This Is For You If You're...
Considering private practice, but not sure where to start
In the early stages and feeling unsure, stuck, or overwhelmed
Looking for honest information before you take the next step

Hosted By...
Kathy Acosta, LCSW is a co-founder of the Latinx Practice Collective who built her own group practice from the ground up and now mentors other clinicians through the exact decisions she once had to make alone. She knows what it costs to figure this out without anyone showing you the way, and she brings that same clarity to every therapist she works with.
Vanessa De Jesus Guzman, LPC, NCC is a co-founder of the Latinx Practice Collective and a licensed therapist with over twenty years of experience serving children, families, and professionals. She built her own practice while navigating the same uncertainty she now helps others move through with more confidence.
Both Kathy and Vanessa have been in practice for 7+ years each, and they've built the Latinx Practice Collective so that no one has to make these decisions alone the way they once did.
What We'll Cover
Why therapists choose private practice, and what they're actually looking for when they do
How to think about timing without waiting for an impossible kind of certainty
The early money decisions that shape whether a practice is sustainable
Where systems matter, and where you can keep things simple
The emotional side of starting something new, because that part is real too
We'll leave time for your questions at the end!
How We Support Therapists
If you're ready for more support after this conversation, we'll share how we walk alongside therapists at this stage. Whether you leave with a next step or just more clarity, you'll leave with both in your hands.
This Live Training is open to ALL. We'd love to have you with us!
