Meet Your Hosts

Kathy Acosta, LCSW is the founder and CEO of the Latinx Practice Collective and the owner of a successful group practice built on a hybrid pay model. She has done the work of blending insurance and self pay in a way that keeps a practice sustainable and a team supported, and she knows every decision point that comes with it.

Vanessa De Jesus Guzman, LPC, NCC is a co-founder of the Collective and runs a solo private practice built entirely on a self pay model. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she has learned what it takes to set a rate, hold it, and build a full caseload without ever taking insurance.

Together, they have walked both sides of this decision, and they show up with no gatekeeping. What worked, what didn't, and why they made the choices they did, all of it is on the table.
