I work from a person centered approach, allowing children to discover their strengths, and reclaim their power, and handle overwhelming emotions. Children thrive when they are given the appropriate tools they need to be calm, confident, and true to themselves.

My background in childhood trauma and race related stress builds upon strengths you already own. I have dedicated the last twenty years to working with children and their families in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and in private practices utilizing EMDR, sound healing, and yoga.

A little bit about me-
I earned my Doctorate in School and Community Psychology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY and am licensed in NY and NJ. Additionally, I am also a certified School Counselor and School Psychologist in both states. I have provided therapy in a variety of different settings including hospitals, schools, community clinics, long term rehabilitation centers, senior centers, and private group practices.
I am experienced with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services for depression, parenting support, decreased self esteem, anxiety, trouble concentrating at work or school, and in the implementation of interventions addressing social skill deficits. My specialty is trauma-focused therapy with children.
