Hello! My name is GIssell Goodridge. I am a first generation American. My parents are form the Dominican Republic. I lived in DR from ages 13-16 and try to go back at least once a year. I 've been married since 2021 and have been with my husband since 2013. We have with two boys that are 15 months apart. While I'm kind of a new parent, I raised my youngest sister as many of us Latinos do! My personal life expIrene es help me relate to my clients as a therapist.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey as well as a National Certified Counselor. I hold masters degrees in Forensic Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have specialized training in trauma-specific interventions. Those with histories of trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, domestic abuse, and anger or stress management issues would benefit from working with me. I facilitate my client's growth and healing so the past doesn't continue to weigh as heavily on a person's future. My goal is to help you discover patterns in thinking and behaving while teaching skills to manage past and current stress. My purpose is to help you grow stronger in order to bear your past rather than help you forget. I believe the client is the expert. I offer a safe place to explore vulnerable and uncomfortable thoughts so that together, we can find ways to break negative patterns. My clients are looking to grow in strength and internal coping skills to help them overcome identified dysfunctions in thinking and behaving.
